Stretcher bars are an easy way to finish a cross stitch piece that cuts out the cost of a frame. It's pretty simple to do, I'm planning a blog post about it soon.
These bars will work with my pre-cut material that is roughly 7" x 9".
They are narrow, only ½” wide, so you'll need that size of ribbon for the edges to finish. Manufactured from soft pine with eased edges, they fit together with the help of a hammer and stay tight. Simply combine any two sizes to form the exact size frame for your project.
p.s. Here's where I bought my ribbon, if you want to get lost in ribbon shopping!
